The line graph illustrates the number of reported cases of people above age 65 who are effected by influenza in a certain UK village.

Overall,the number of cases followed increasing trend despite of fluctuations in the period. In the year 1991, around 75 people are effected by influenza which is highest number in the period,while lowest cases are reported in the year 1985 with 40 people .

In detail,the number of reported cases of influenza began at 40 in 1985 and increases steadily to reach about 55 in 1987. In 1988,there was decrease in number to below 50 before rising to reach a highest number approximately 75 in 1991.

After 1991,the reported cases has fallen gradually for the next next two years to reach 60.People effected by flu rose slightly to about 65 before dropping back to around 60 in the final year.
