This line graph compares the amount of acid rain emissions which were produced by 4 different sectors in UK between 1991 and 2007.

Obviously the total amount of acid rain emissions had a decreased trend in the period of time. The most decrease was seen in the Electricity, Gas and Water supply sector.

In 1990 there was around 3.3 million tones of acid rain emissions caused by electricity, gas and water supply sector. The other industries sector took the second place with the mount of 2.1 million tones, compares to about 0.7 million tones and 0.6 million tones acid rain emissions produced by transport and communication sector and domestic sector respectively.

Emission from electricity, gas and water supply sector made a dramatic decrease in 16 years. By 2007 it only produced 0.5 million tones acid rain. Sharing the same trend, the amount of acid rain came from domestic sector and other industries sector gradually fell to 0.2 million tones and 1.3 million tones respectively. While in 2007 the emission from transport and communication sector slip back to 0.7 million tones after rising to 1 million tones in 2005.
