The graph below shows the unemployment rates in the US and Japan between March 1993 and March 1999. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The given graph illustrates the rate of the unemployment in two nations, US and Japan, between 1993 to 1999.
Overall, there are a fluctuation observed in both figures during the six years, however the unemployment rate of US had a tendency to decrease over time, while that of Japan experienced increasing trend.
In 1993 the unemployment rate of Japan was 7%, approximately 3-fold compared to the rate of US. However, after a significant fluctuation around 6% in two years 1994 and 1995, the figure of US dropped to score at 5.0% in early of 1997. In contrast, the rate of Japan kept surging up from 2.5% at the beginning of 1993 to reach just under 4.5% on March 1996. Few months later, this figure dropped to below 4.0% before slightly climbing up to collide with the rate of US at 5.0% in 1998.
In the last tracking year, 1999, both of two figures hovering around 5.0% and remained stable until the end of the period.
