Essay topics:

The graph gives information on wages of some country over a ten-year period.

The graph illustrates percentages of growth in wages of some country from 1993 to 2003. It can be clearly seen that people got the highest salaries in the year 1994 and 1999.
According to the graph, wages doubled rapidly during 1993, rising from 2% to 4%, marking it the second highest salary of the period before dropping quickly in the following years and gradually maintaining stability at 3% during 1996. However, there was a remarkable and continuous increase of wage afterwards, growing up to the highest wage recorded at 6%. Then as surprisingly as it climbed, statistics showed that it suddenly failed down during 1999 until stopping at about 3% - the same wage with the year 1996's. The amount of salary remained unchanged during 2000 before decreasing in the following 3 years. It reached its bottom at 1% in the early of 2003 then slowly went up again.
In a word, growth rate in wages changed unevenly on the year of the period and the graph proved that people were paid with better salaries back in the past, particularly between 1996 and 2000.
