Overall, the number of participants playing rugby recorded a significant decline, while individuals playing tennis was on the growth to become the most playable sport in 2000 and 2005. In additon, relative stabilities between basketball and badminton were observed throughout the period.
According to the chart, the number of rugby players reached the highest point with 250 which explained it was the most popular sport in 1985 and then it gradually declined to 200 after 10 years. In the next 10-year period, a dramatic downfall of around 150 participants was recorded in rugby from 1995 to 2005. In contrast, the figure for tennis started at the second most popular sport with 150 players and it rapidly increased to 200 which matched the number of rugby players in 1995. In the last 10 years of the period, there was a significant increase in the number of people playing tennis, with around 75 and it became the most famous sport in 2000 and 2005.
Different from above, there wasn’t any difference in the number of individuals playing basketball and badminton throughout the period. To be more specific, basketball had approximately 80 people in 1985 and it remained exactly the same number 20 years later. Badminton had the following trend, the number of people playing the sport was lower, around 50.
