The graphs below give information about computer ownership as a percentage of the population between 2000 and 2010, and by level of education for the year 2002 and 2010
The two bar graphs illustrate the number of people who owned computers from 2002 to 2010, as well as their academic level between 2002 and 2010.
Overall, the majority of people owned a computer in 2010, whilst the minority group was in 2002. There was a steady increase for computer ownership from 2002 to 2010. It is of note, more postgraduate qualification holder owned computers in 2010 above all other categories. Between 2002 and 2004, the number of people with high school diploma and those without almost doubled in 2010.
The highest number of people who owned computer was in 2010, at around 63%, while few people had computers in 2002 with 58%. There was a gradual increase of the population who had computers.
Furthermore, post-graduate students were the major owners of computers in 2010, as well as in 2002 with around 90% and 80% respectively. The number of people who qualified with high school diploma and those without in 2002 doubled. The percentage in 2010 , just above 10% increase. A gradual rise was seen from 2000 and 2010 for every level of education with a computer.
