The provided diagrams show the sales of three kinds of music per decade and annually.

Overall, pop music was permanently the best seller, according to the bar chart. Furthermore, the line graph illustrates that sales of pop and rock increased while sales of classical music decreased over time.

The sales of all music types, outlined in the bar chart, fluctuated over the years. However, pop was consistently the most popular variant, which peaked at 5 billion pounds in 2001. Rock reached its highest level in 2001, at 4 billion pounds. In contrast, classical music was always the least popular, with the lowest amount sold at just over 1 billion pounds in the same year.

Moving on to the line graph, the sales of pop more than doubled from around 2.2 billion pounds in 1960 to 5 billion pounds in 1990. In comparison, classical sales dropped by fifty percent, from 4 to 2 billion pounds over the same period of time. There was a steep climb in the sales of rock from 2 billion pounds to 4.5 billion pounds from 1960 to 1980. Nevertheless, sales sharply declined over the next decade, from approximately 4.5 to 3.5 billion pounds.
