The graphs below show the enrollments of overseas students and local students in Australian universities over a ten year period.
The graphs compare the numbers of new and total foreign students over national students in Australian universities from 2001 to 2010.
Overall, the Australian universities have enough number of local students and are dominant throughout the period than other foreigners.
From the first graph of overseas students, in 2001 there were 20,000 people who enrolled the universities and about 12,000 of them were newbies. The total student's count was gradually raising till 2009 where there was a sudden increase in new students number and they are about 40,000 also their total was almost double of it. By the end, just a thousand students were fresher in universities and the sum of them were about 81,000.
Secondly, for Aussie students, About 18,000 students are commencing, but the total students was comparatively double than local. There was a slight upsurge for new students next year but till 2007 it was slightly decreasing the new scholar's number. In reverse, the total student's number is growing and had 600,000 local students and merely 20,000 new students in 2007. For the next 3 years, the total students are idle but fresher are slightly declining. It provokes that fresher from abroad are double than the local students.
