The graph illustrates the trend of enrolment both local and overseas students in Australian universities in a period of ten years. The red color signifies the total enrollment and the blue color shows the commencing period.
The local students has the greater number of total enrollees in year 2001, which has 400,000 in total compared to overseas students which has only 20,000 enrollees. Even overseas students has less enrolles in the start of the year, they managed to increment their total enrolment to 80,000 until year 2010. Same trend with local students, they managed to spike up their total enrollees to 600,000 in year 2007 until 2010.
The commencing period of both local and overseas students has huge gap in the start of the year.The overseas students increased their commencement up to 40,000 in year 2009 and steadily maintained until year 2010. While the Local students only has ups and downs trend that reaches to 200,000 of total enrollees in commencement period.
Overall local students has more total enrollments and commencement compared to overseas students in 10 years duration in Australian Universities.
