Similarly, the British earned the highest salaries in 2000, at almost 5%, after which the figure saw a marked decline. Although France and the US did not witness any negative outcomes in this regard, their proportion was generally fall from nearly 1.5% to below 1% and from slightly above 3% to exactly 2%, respectively. Regarding Germany, Italy and Japan, the percentages were the lowest among all seven countries, ranging between around 2% and approximately -1.8%.
Turning to the period between 2008 and 2012, there were no negative figures in terms of compensation in Canada and Germany, with the income bracket ranging between more than 1% and above 2%. The rest had falls, with Italy at about -0.8 and The UK comprising nearly -2.2% at the highest.
