The given pie chart illustrates the figure on expending routines of citizens in UK in 1971 and 2001.
It is noted that UK saw a significant change in spending habits of people. It was obvious that cars and food were two things which people used the most usual between 1971 and 2001.
In the first year of the survey, food occupied 44% of the spending habit of the British and reached the highest percentage. However, this number went down remarkably to 14% in 2001. 22% was spending routine of people in UK in 1971.Surprisingly, in following 30 years, it increased to 43% and nearly twice as much as in 1971.
The other pattern also experienced an enormous change. 10% and 9% were the amount which people expended for petrol and furniture respectively in 1979. In 2001, an amount of money which people wasted on petrol and furniture was equal (8%). The British used 7% income for the restaurant in 1971. Interestingly, it went up to double in next 30 years. The proportion of salary spent on the book dropped markedly from 6% to 1% while the percent of income expended for computer jumped from 2% to 12% in 2001.
