IELTS Writing Task I - IELTS Academic 13, Test 1
The two maps illustrate the changes in infrastructure to enter a city hospital between 2007 and 2010.
It is clear that the hospital location remained unchanged, while there were significant upgrades in road layout with two new roundabouts and developments of parking lots and public transport facilities.
From 2007 to 2010, the road access changed with the appearance of two new roundabouts. The first one was constructed at the three-way intersection of the hospital road and the ring road surrounding the hospital. Correspondingly, the second one was built in the south of the hospital road where it crossed the city road.
Furthermore, the parking lot in front of the hospital still existed but became a staff-only area, while a brand new car park for public was built to the eastern side of the hospital. In terms of public transport facilities, the bus stops along both sides of the hospital road were demolished to make way for a bus station to the east of this road.
