The table illustrates the US’s economic value from international students between 2005 and 2015 and the bar graph shows the disparity in the total number of international students from three countries during the same period.
Looking at the table, one can see that the total amount of expenditure value which international contributed to the economics of the US surged significantly in 10-years period. Interestingly, the economic value from the abroad students in 2015 was more three-times the value of its in the year 2005, from $10.1 billion to $35.8 billion.
According to the bar graph, it is evidence that there was an upward trend in the number of international students from three countries over the course of 10 years. Particularly, China was the nation which had the smallest number of students who study abroad, but in 2015 it surpassed the others countries to reach at the top spot of the increment of international students. Also, there was a huge gap between the population of students who going abroad between the years in China, increased by approximately seven-times from 2005 to 2015. Followed by India, with the numbers of international students from this country grow from almost 100 thousand people to nearly 230 thousand in 2015. In contrast, there was a small shift from the total number of those in South Korea during the same period, which increased by almost 50 thousand international students.
