Eggs are laid by an adult lady bug in leaves of various trees. These are left attached in the leaves and these will hatch after 2 to 5 days producing larvas. The second phase is called larval stage and they remained larva for 21 days and after which they undergo to the pupa stage. The pupas remained underside of leaves for a week and after developing inside the cocoons adult lady bugs emerge.
A lady bug has a distinct feature telling it apart from other insect and it is called the red elytra which gives the bug its red color and circle dots on its wings. It also has 6 legs, 3 on each side connected to its body which is the abdomen and a head with 2 antennas and a pair of eyes. Its head is connected to its body by pronotum a black colored area of its body with 2 white dots on each side.
