It is clear from the line chart that the figure for arrests was lowest during twenty two years. Meanwhile, total violent crime was the category receiving the most expenditure in the research time.
In the first eight years, there was a fluctuation in total violent crime to over 3,5 offences, then, the figure peaked at 4,5 offenses in 1988. The number of total violent crime fell from the highest point and continued a stable decrease with slight decceleration to 3 offenses in 2000. At the same time, victimisations reported to police is subject to overall volatility until 1990, over 2 offenses and declined slightly at 1,5 offences in ten year's time
Standing at 1 offense in 1978, crimes recorded by police jump further to over 1,5 offenses in 1994 and saw a slight lull in the next six years. While, arrests for violent crime bottomed at under 0,5 offenses in the first year and saw a modest growth of 0,5 offences in 1986. After a mild decrease from 0,25 offences in 1988, the figure experience a slight recovery to 2000.
