The line graph shows the number of hours taken to produce a car by three companies throughout the period from 2000 to 2012.
Overall, the amount of time spent on the production of a car increased in three groups between 2000 to 2012. There was a wide fluctuation in the time to make a car from Ford over the period.
In 2000, Ford took 28 hours to produce a vehicle, before suffering from a decreased sharply to nearly 10 hours in 2004. However, Ford became the firm with the lowest working efficiency at the end of the period, needing almost 40 hours for producing a car by 2012.
By contrast, Toyota was the company need the least time to manufacture a vehicle, with under 20 hours in 2000. This figure was witnessed a slight rise to above 20 hours after 4 years. In 2012, there was reached the bottom to about 18 hours for Toyota to make a car. The figure for Honda to produce a vehicle increased from over 30 hours to close 40 in the first six years of the period, prior to reducing to nearly 35 at the end of the period.
