The linegraph gives information about the rate of population increase of cities in South Korea and Indonesia over the period of time from 1969 to 2009. Overall, both 2 figures experienced an increase throughout the period; plus, the urbanisation rate in South Korea was nearly 2 times higher than that of Indonesia.
Regarding the first phase from 1969 to 1989, South Korea saw a sharp upward trend of urbanisation, which went up from just above 30% in 1969 to about 70% in 1989. In contrast, the figure of Indonesia increased moderately, with 20% in 1969 to around 25% after 2 decades.
When it comes to the last period, we see an opposing trend of the urbanisation rate in 2 countries, in which the percentage of South Korea went up slightly to just above 80% while that of Indonesia surged to 50%.
