The line graph illustrates the number of magazine sales by a publisher in 4 European countries between 1999 and 2002.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and making comparisons where relevant.

The line graph shows the magazine sales by a single publisher in four countries in Europe (France, Holland, Belgium and Germany) from 1999 to 2002. Overall, it is clear that two countries increased and the others were not positively changed.

A glance at the graph reveals that magazine sales in Belgium marginally increased in the first year, from just around 1.8 million euros to 2 million euros, then rose dramatically in the remaining period to reach a peak of 5 million euros. Sales in France also experienced a positive change but it was just a slight increase over the period. They started the period just above 4 million euros and reached the same rate as Belgium at the end of the period.

In contrast, the other two countries did not experienced improvement on magazine sales. Sales in Germany significantly decrease over a period. They started as the highest among four countries at around 4.5 million euros but finished as the lowest at approximately 2.5 million euros. Interestingly, sales in Holland remain unchanged over four years, even though there was a slight rise in the first year, from 3 miilion euros to around 3.2 million euros, it slipped back towards the end of the period.
