The chart illustrates the number of thefts per thousand vehicles in four nations Great Britain, Sweden, France and Canada in over the period of 10 years, starting in 1990.
Looking in the line chart it's immediately obvious that the figure for thefts in most of countries experienced a downward trend, while exception with Sweden. Although the theft in Great Britain was the similar in term of general decline, the proportion of theft in Great Britain always accounted for a highest number than those in three remain countries between 1990 and 1999.
In 1990, the thefts in France, Canada and Sweden stood at around 6000 vehicles, 7000 vehicles and 8000 vehicles, respectively. During the period 1990-1999, after the minor fluctuations, the thefts in France and Canada decreased slightly to just under 6000 vehicles. By contrast, the theft in Sweden had the trend to increased significantly approximate 12000 vehicles in 1999.
Over the same period, the theft in Great Britain registered as number 18000 vehicles in 1990. After that, it had a slight fluctuation and dropped on a dip about 17000 vehicles on 1999.
