The maps below, both together demonstrate the topical appearance of a small town called Islip and plans for its development in the future. As it can be observed Islip has only basic facilities, namely, shops, main road, park and school.
To begin with, there are more facilities and infrastructure planed for the city. Dual carriageway which is surround city except school and eliminate countryside. Apart from this, bus station and car park will be constructed in the north side of the city, next to the shopping center.
Based on the second maps, in the future many infrastructure must be build in the city. Along with this, main road replaced by place for pedestrians only in the center of the town where surrounded by shops in both sides. Also, it should be noted that housing is no longer limited to the south side of the city, there are predicted new housing for the east side of town, next to the car park and in the corner of walking street. Plus, area of park will be decreased and become place for new housing.
To narrow it down, topical town look like small village whereas its future design turns it to the modern city.
