Essay topics:

The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its
development.

The maps illustrate the current Islip town center and the variety of that area in the future.Overall, the center is expected to experience a drastic change, with the vanishing of the countryside and the appearance of manifold modern amenities
Noticeably, this place will witness the emerging of a dual carriageway which form a ring around the center. Beside, the traffic-free zone for pedestrians will provide a substitute for the main road now, The chain of stores which is in the north side of the center now will be demolished and make room for a bus station, a shopping center, a car park and a new housing area linking with the carriageway by a small path to the right side.
In the middle of the map, there is a range of shops which will remain stable in the future. To the south ,while the central housing will be relocated to the south west, there will be a new residential area located in the vicinity of the park, which will dwindle in the future.
By contrast, the school and housing area next to the outer edge of the dual carriageway will almost stay unchanged.
