The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Given are the two maps depicting the planned renovations of Islip town.
Perceptibly, the area is predicted to be upgraded significantly to become a more convenient living place with various features.
Regarding the current time, Islip is surrounded by a main road, which spans from the west to the east. Residents can find shops on two sides of the top main road, moreover, they can access the countryside area nearby the northern stores. The main road led to a park in the east and a school in the southwest, which are built around a large site devoted to housing.
It is noticeable from the calculation that the area, to home more amenities such as a bus station, a shopping center and a car park, is planned to extend toward the north, which was countryside previously. The middle part of the old main road is expected to be used for pedestrians only, which would help people access shops in the heart of the area. Albeit not projecting to witness renovations in the southern area, the park is predicted to be moderated, while housing would be newly-erected to the left. Additionally, a dual carriageway is estimated to stretch around the city; a part of it would lead to new housing on the right side of the car park.
