The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two maps illustrate the design of Islip town centre before and after the development. The map above is of the current town, while the below is the future plan of it.
Overall, there are various advancements and many significant notifications in the planning map.
In the first map, we can see that the main road is surrounded by two rows of small shops. There is the countryside in the north of the town, while in the south are the housing estates and facilities such as a large park and school.
The second one provides the information of a development plan with dual carriageway around the centre. The countryside will be completely disappeared. The main road will be developed for walking purpose only. A bus station, a shopping center, car park and another new housing area will be constructed alongside with the waking path. After the construction, the Park area will be decreased and there will be a new housing area next to the left side of the park.
