The maps below show the centre of a small town called /slip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps compare the current situation and a future developing plan of a town called Islip.
Overall, all the current features (school, stores and houses) will remain with more facilities, such as bus station, shopping centre, rods, pedestrians and house, and less individual stores in the future.
According to the plan, the main road that separates shops located in two streets in Islip will be replaced by a wider pedestrian’s path. There will be a bus station, a shopping centre, a car park and an area of new housing built in the north part of the town, where some shops are.
In the south part, it will remain to be a housing suburb with more houses. However, the park will become smaller with the development of the town.
In the future, new dual carriageways will be constructed around the town centre as a circle, connecting all the places and the west-east road. The school will keep in the same location in the southwest corner with slightly bigger space.
