The pictures illustrate how a waterfront area of Darwin town had developed over a 5-year period
Overall, the whole landscape was altered with many constructions erected, though, there were still some figures that still be kept unchanged throughout the examined period
Remarkably, a vast majority of the site had been occupied by industrial area which was converted into a larger green space filled with a host of trees. A part of this industrial area located right next to the lake was also knocked down to make way for a new swimming pool. Moreover, there added 3 more houses which were adjacent to the old ones and to the west of it was a new construction of a university building.
Apart from those renovations, the lake, school, convention center, fishing area and two former swimming pools remained intact. In terms of access, travelers could visit this area from a newly-built harbour on the southeast of the map, along with a new footpath from the west connected the harbour to the main road. In contrast, the footpath encircling the center of the town was unchanged
