The maps below show the changes that have taken place in the waterfront area of a town called Darwin between 2009 and 2014.
Presented are the two illustrations depicting several significant changes which have taken place in Darwin town in the 5-year period commencing from 2009.
Overall, the town has witnessed several changes with the most noticeable being the disappearance of the industrial area and the appearance of a harbour.
From 2009 to 2010, almost the facilities near the lake stayed unchanged, except for the industrial area to the left-hand side of the lake, which has been replaced by a swimming pool. In the centre of the municipality, the residential building was greatly expanded.
In 2009, there was an industrial area at the bottom of Darwin; however, till 2010, it has been converted into a field for trees and also constructed a university building near there. Besides, the space between the sea and the swimming pool to the East of the town has been added as a harbour. From this, a new footpath was erected to the West of Darwin town.
