The diagrams illustrate the transformations took place in the town of Harborne between 1936 and 2007.
Overall, the town underwent dramatic changes, of which the development of a residential complex and more malls are the most important changes.
The town saw significant changes in the northwest, with the chopping down of trees and the replacement of a bicycle track with a road. In the middle centre of the town, the post office, bank and library remained unchanged, while the candy and butcher shops were demolished to make way for a supermarket. In the innermost of the downtown, a brand-new shopping complex was constructed to replace the open space. There used to be a flower shop to the northeast of the cycle track, but it then was redeveloped into a travel agent located to the southwest of the shopping center.
In the northeast of the town, the river was turned into a lake where a plethora of housing areas was constructed alongside the lake. Meanwhile, the south-east of the town also witnessed significant changes, with the government offices being transformed into a museum, and a gold course replacing the farmland.
