The maps illustrate the town of Tennyson in 1990 and all the development it has gone through till present day.
Overall, the town used to be a residential area with lots of houses, whereas now it has turned into a commercial area with lots of apartments and a factory.
The town has a river running through the middle of it which divides it into western and eastern part. The eastern part used to contain many houses, an apartment building and a big pond. While the pond is still there, all the rest has been replaced by numerous big multistory residential buildings, a super market and a railway line running eastwards.
The eastern part has seen similar drastic changes, as there has been a new airport built near the school. The hospital remains in place but now it’s surrounded by a few more houses. A new factory has been added, replacing the houses and trees, in the southern part of the town, which is near the third new rail-bridge that has been added to the river on top of the two previous ones. The far-east corner of the town still contains the railway station and the tracks but now a new track joins it from the west as well. Lastly a new ferry station has been developed in the south-eastern part of the town to facilitate the transportation.
