The given maps illustrate information about a number of chances taking place in the village of Stokeford in the year 1930 to 2010.
In general, it can be seen that the town was been completely urbanized after the constructions of several facilities. The most significant changes took place in the farmland which then was replaced by houses.
To begin with, in 1930, the most Stokeford land was used for agriculture, one was on the top right-hand corner of the village, the other was in the middle between the River Stoke and the main road Besides, the post office and the two shops were built next to the semi-detached houses in the left hand-side of the main road. In the opposite side, there was a primary school being in close proximity to houses and a large house was located on the east of the garden.
As can be seen in the second picture, all farmland was demolished to be converted into residential areas. In addition, more houses which were established along the two sides of the main road and the post office still remained the same locate. Besides, the gardens waere decreased in size to make way for retirement home and the two more houses were built behind the primary school.
