The two maps illustrate the current industrial area in Norbiton and the development plan in this region.
Overall, it is noticeable that all the factories in Norbiton will be demolished and converted into residential areas. Furthermore, some basic facilities such as shops, a medical care center, a playground, and a school will be constructed.
On the current map, there is a roundabout located in the center of Norbiton’s industrial area, and a small road runs from that roundabout to the east of Norbiton. Eight plants stretch from the left side of a roundabout to the end of a small road. On the northern side, there is a river that flows through the region. Above that, there is farmland which has not been untapped yet.
In the future development plan, the roundabout and a small road will remain the same. However, eight factories surround the first roundabout and a small road will be changed into new housing. Additionally, on the eastern side of Norbiton, a medical care center, a playground, and a new school will be built. The plans will expand into the west of Norbiton, with a new street on the northwest of the roundabout. A new residential area and a mall will be situated on either side of the new road. There are also plans for a small roundabout to be built on the center of the main road, linking to the road that has the first roundabout. On the northern side, there will be a bridge across the river to the farmland in the north. On the farmland, a new housing area will be constructed. However, the remaining patch will remain undisturbed.
