The given maps detail the development progress of a Meadowside village and a neighboring town Fonton over three different time periods 1962, 1985, and the present scenario.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that both the towns have expanded significantly over time resulting in easy access, improved infrastructure, and a better lifestyle.
According to the given illustration, in 1962 both the places were underdeveloped. Although Meadowside village and Fonton was equipped with an unpaved road and a railway track respectively, there was no connectivity between the two towns. However, after nearly two decades, both the towns underwent significant renovations. The reconstructed main road in the village got extended all the way to the neighboring town. In addition, enormous modernization led to the construction of housing estate along with leisure complex to the west and a super-store to the south of the main road.
In the current times, Meadowside suburbs have emerged after the merging of both the towns. The installation of a new station at the middle joint has resulted in extended track to the Fonton town. Just beside the station, a new hotel has been built, where people stay while traveling between the towns. To the south of the station, the running highway crosses through the newly constructed business park.
