The transformation of the town has resulted in improved social and transport infrastructure, but on the other hand, these changes have made the area a more industrial zone, while earlier it used to be green and quiet.
Out of many changes that occurred in town, those that were concerned with transport infrastructure were the most significant. Along with the construction of a ferry on the eastern bank of a river, the airport was built in the north. The railway line that used to be the only interstate link was extended south-west. With the rise in passenger number, the town also had to build a new parking slot next to the station.
Changes in social infrastructure were not less significant. The industrial area and housing stock were divided in such a way that houses were mostly moved to the western bank of the river. The increase in the number of citizens led to the reconstruction of residential area. Instead of individual cottages more apartment houses were built, though part of cottages were left near the lake. To face the needs of local people the supermarket was settled in the central part of the living area.
