Marriages and divorces
As is illustrated by the bar charts, depicts the information about the number of marriages and divorces in USA and second chart shows the figure of marital status of Americans adult in 1970 and 2000.
Taking a quick glance,it is quite evident that there was a fall number of marriages in USA between 1970 and 2000. Although, the majority of adults Americans were marriaged in both years, but the proportion of single adults was higher in 2000.
To begin with, there were 2.5millions marriaged in USA remained unchange in next decades but fall to 2million by the year 2002. However, the divorce rate reached at peak point in 1980, nearly around 1.4millions before falling back to 1millions at the end of the year.
Moving to accompanying bar charts, Americans adults were marriaged in 1970 but this figure dropped under 60% by 2000. While, the proportion of unmarriaged people and divorce rose by 10% in total but the percentage of widowed Americans was slightly lower in 2000.
