The bar chart illustrates the proportion of males and females aged between 18 and 20 in 5 different activities. Overall, football was the most preferred sport among men, while that of women was cycling. In contrast, both genders had the least interest in hockey. The most significant between males and females’ participation was recorded in football.
Approximately half of male respondents were keen on playing football, which was threefold compared to their female counterparts. Likewise, basketball was enjoyed by 12% of females, 20% lower than the figure for males. Attracting roughly 12% and 4% of male and female players, respectively, hockey remained the least common activity.
On the other hand, the participation figure of women in cycling was 40%, while this number for men was 35%. The difference between the two genders was widened in swimming, as one third of females were interested in this activity, almost doubling males.
