People in the community can buy cheaper products nowadays. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

It is argued that a high tendency of people increasingly affording to purchase products with bargain prices. This essay will acknowledge that the disadvantageous impacts outweigh the advantages. This essay will first demonstrate that buying cheaper products leading to an overall domestic economic depression and that it degrades human life quality, followed by an analysis of how the primary advantage of suitable price for almost families to afford.

A depression of domestic economy could be witnessed within a specific country as citizens show their interests in bargain-price commodities. Cheaper products imported from neighboring countries results in a rivalry competitive market with domestic industries and companies reducing the overall manufacturing productivity. A prime example is that importing Thailand rice to Vietnam has been recently reported to reduce 45% gross domestic products of Vietnamese agriculture in 2016. On the other hand, purchasing cheaper products easily causes a decrease in the development of human life. The cheaper the price is, the less qualitative the product is. A survey has been carried out by the Vietnamese government indicates that 70% of bargain cabbages exporting from China for Vietnamese farmers contains chemical contaminants which has not been clearly washed away causing lots of medical issues, namely headache, stomachache and so on for local farmers.

Those opposed to this advocate that it is an appropriate price for most people to afford. However, there is no actual evidence to support this view and government also takes into action to solve this problem. For example, Malaysian government has enacted economic law to support 50% price of the household products.

On balance, the fact that buying cheaper price influences badly to the local economy and leads to human health depression clearly outweighs the flawed argument that it is affordable for most people.
