The percentage of men and women aged 60-64 who were employed in 4 countries in 1970 and 2000.
The bar chart shows changes in the number of male and female employees aged 60-64 in Belgium, the USA, Japan, and Indonesia in two different years, 1970 and 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that men employees always higher than women and the figures declined over the given period. In the meantime, women employees also experienced significant decreases throughout the two years.
In 1970, male workers registered the highest number in the USA, at 85% while the percentage of women staffs also had the highest rate, at about 78%. A little lower than this was seen in Indonesia where men employees almost reached the same figure as the United States, at roughly 79% and female workers stood at 65%. Men and women staffs in Belgium were at approximately 79% and 67% respectively. Lastly, male employees in Japan was 75% and the number of females in employment was around 52%, which stood at the lowest point in all.
After 50 years, all four countries had the men workers rate went down with the USA still remaining the most significant one, at roughly 80%. At the same time, Indonesian male employees had a drop of about 18%, followed by Japan and Belgium men staffs decreased to around 52% and 62% in turn. Women employees in Belgium displayed the most dramatic decline, at approximately 8% in 2020. American female workers experienced a roughly 10% decrease while the proportion of Japanese and Indonesian females in employment dropped to about 48% and 50% respectively.
