The percentage of people using various mobile phone features
The table compares the percentage of seven different features that were used by mobile phone owners in three specific years: 2006,2008, 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that the proportion of people making calls using their phone was the highest among that of the others. In addition, Internet searching and video recording both witnessed considerably growth in its figures.
In 2006, making call started at the highest figure, which was 100%, followed by text messaging and taking pictures with the proportion of 73% and 66%, respectively. In contrast, only about 15% of mobile phone owners used their devices for the function of playing games and music. More than that, the data for recording video(9%) and searching the Internet(41%) started two years later than that of others in 2008.
As is shown in the table, making calls were still the most popular function, which was 99%,in 2010. In the same period, the number of people using their phones to access the Internet significantly increased to 73%. Figures for playing games and music also saw a rapid rise, reached 41% and 35%, respectively in 2010.
