The greatest amount of use belongs to heating at 42%, while the least use is for cooling at 2%. 30% utilize energy for water heating. Refrigeration and lighting are the next options at 7% and 4% respectively. Other appliances also are constituted 15% of consumption.
Although water heating is not major use for energy, it produces the greatest amount of pollution at 32%. The same applies to other appliances which emit 28% gas. Heating and refrigeration are the next sources of pollution at 15% and 14% each. 8% of pollution comes from lighting, while cooling merely produces 3% air pollution.
Clearly, it can be seen, something is not the main source of pollution; however it is used more than others. On the contrary, some tasks that are not really repetitive emit more pollution that we expect.
