The pie chart depicts the total proportion of three kinds of nutrients that cause danger to our health if consumed too much namely sugar, saturated fats and sodium are part of our meals during breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in the United States of America.
The largest proportion of sodium and saturated fat eaten is during dinner time while high sugar consumption occurs during snack time. And breakfast meal is significantly least percentage for all three types of nutrients.
Sodium as a common nutrient found in food and considered additives to mostly all our meals and comprises 43% during dinner time as well as saturated fat which is 6% lower. In addition, same percentage of 14% are consumed for breakfast and snack meals. For saturated fat, 21% are eaten on snack meals and 26% in lunch hour. Furthermore, for early meals sugar and saturated fat are both of the same percentage with 16%.
Sweets are often consumed during snack time such as cake and ice cream thus a nutritional value of sugar is 42% which is expected, followed by 23% at dinner meals and 19% at lunch.
