The pie chart below shows the main reasons why agricultural land becomes less productive. The table shows how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990s.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given pie chart compare the causes of worldwide land degradation, while the table provide further information on regions affected.

Overall, the most predominant reason for grobal decease of productive land is over-gazing. Additionally, Europe has been, by far, experienced the most serious problem.

Regarding the pie chart, the reason that too many animals eating grass account for the highest proportion, at 35%, followed by 30% land degraded due to deforestation. The figure for over-cultivation is slightly lower, at 28%. Finally, other causes for this environmental problem make up only 7%.

Turning to the table, Europe witnesses the largest proportion of land becoming less productive, with nearly one fourth totally. However, the area that is most seriously affected by overgazing is Oceania, at 11,3%. Surprisingly, only 0,2% of land is degraded by deforestation in North America and Oceania has, in fact, no land becoming less productive because of over cultivation.
