The pie graph provides information on the primary reasons why learners decided to have their education at a certain university in the United Kingdom in two different years.
It can be seen that in 1987 and in 2007, a large percentage of students went to the specific university mainly because it offered them the degree courses of their choice. Meanwhile, there were significant changes in the percentages of the students who went to the particular school due to parental home closeness and good sports and social activities reasons.
In both years, a large percentage of students had their education in the said university because of the degree courses appropriateness. In fact, more than a third (35 % and 37%) of the students’ opted to study in this school because it provided the courses the learners prefer.
On the other hand, a drastic change in the percentage of learners’ reasons to going to a certain school can be seen in parental home closeness and good sports and social activities. In the earlier year, only a tenth of the student body wanted to be near from their homes and parents but after two decades, this has remarkably increased to 22%. However, the students’ reason for going to school due to good sports and social activities greatly decreased from 19% to 6%.
Furthermore, students’ reasons for studying in the said school because of teaching and resources quality reasons made minimal changes over the given period as they only made 3-4% changes.
