The pie chart shows the percentage of persons arrested in the five years ending 1994 and the bar chart shows the most recent reasons for arrest

The pie chart illustrates the proportion of males and females arrested in five years ending 1994, whereas the bar chart describes the percentage of the reasons why people were incarcerated.

Overall, it can be seen that the males were more arrested than females. The majority of arrests were due to public drinking.
According to the pie chart, the percentage of women who were imprisoned was just only 9%, compared to over 90% of females innocent. Meanwhile, the figure for males who were captured by the police was nearly four times as much as females, at 32%, while 68% of them were not incarcerated.

Moving onto the bar graph, the most common reason for imprisonment is public drinking, with around 31% of men and 38% of women. Another common reason is drinking driving, but the figure for men is nearly doubling the women, at 26% and 14%, respectively. In the meantime, the percentage of both males and females who are apprehended is small, only approximately 4% and 7%. The causes of recent arrests that have not been mentioned, namely breach of order, assault, theft, and other reason accounted for similar proportions, ranging from nearly 12% to under 20%.
