The pie charts illustrate the percentage of capacity of energy in gigawatts in 2015 with the forecasts for 2040.

On the whole, power storage will grow to almost 5000 gigawatts over the quarter of a century. Moreover, fossil fuels have made up the biggest proportion for the period between 2015 and 2040. In the beginning, solar energy had the least reserves, but it will be replaced by nuclear energy at the end of the period.

The source of energy would mainly endure fossil fuels, however, it will plummet by 20% over the years from approximately two-thirds to well under a half. With this in mind, fossil fuels are limited and they generate a considerable amount of pollution. In addition, nuclear and other renewables will shrink slightly.

Furthermore, the solar and wind sources from 2015 to 2040 will have a phenomenal upturn, with ninefold and over double respectively. That is to say, it is estimated that renewable power like solar and wind will have a notable improvement in the future.
