Overall, other goods and services and food accounted for the large proportions in the total expense in an average househould in both nations, compares to the percentage of health care was less much.
In malaysia, people spent the largest expenditure on housing with 34%, followed by food and other goods and services, with 27% and 26% respectively. Only 3% of total expense on health care which was the lowest figure shown in the charts and 10% for transport.
By contrast, in 2010, the average household expenditure on other goods and services in japan was the highest proportion, at 29%. The spending on housing, transport and food were the same with 21% 20% and 24% respectively. Insurance also accounted for the lowest percentage of total expense, just 6%.
