The pie charts below show the average household expenditures in Japan and Malaysia in the year 2010.
The presented pie charts compare information about the percentage of budget that a family spends to different types of items classified into housing, transport, food, health care and other goods and services, in Japan and Malaysia in 2010.
At first glance, it is immediately obvious that in Japan, the major proportion of money was allocated for other goods and services, whilst that of money in Malaysia was spent on domestic costs. Moreover, expended money in terms of health care was comprised the minimal share of the total budget in both countries.
When observing the first chart in more detail, the most significant amount of money was paid for other goods and service by Japanese, which comprised almost less than a third, and food sector, approximately a quarter of total budget. While nearly the similar percentage of money was spend on housing and transporting (merely 20%), the least that of money was responsible to health care purposes at 6%.
Turning to the second chart description, the contribution of expended money in terms of the food expenditure was as high as other goods and services with standing at 27% and 26%, respectively. In comparison, money paid to domestic activities was responsible almost a third of all expenses, but just below 5% were comprised for health care. Besides, transportation costs were only 10% of total budget.
