The pie chart illustrates the average household expenses in a country in 1950 and 2010.
Overall, It can be seen that there are six different types of expenses and the pattern of expenditure has significantly changed over the years from 1950 to 2010. In the year 1950, The majority of the total amount was Housing with more than 72% followed by Food with 11.2% and Education at 6.6%. Furthermore, Healthcare and Transportation seem to be the least with 2.4% and 3.3%. Last but not the least Other expenditure stands at 4.4% of overall expenditure.
On the other hand, The year 2010, has changed the way people use their money for different purposes. The majority started spending more on food with 34%, Whereas, Housing stood at 22% followed by other spendings at 19.2%. People started improving their way of transportation by spending almost 14%. Education and health care remain at the last position with 6.3% and 4.5%.
To conclude this report, I,d like to mention that Education and Health care still hold the last position and it should be looked upon for improvements.
