Essay topics:

The pie charts below show the comparison of different kinds of energy production of France in two years.

The given charts compare the proportion of energy produced from coal, petroleum, nuclear, gas, and others in France over a period of 10 years with a surveyed analysis for two different years 1995 and 2005.

Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that except petroleum, which has reduced over time, other energy forms have increased significantly. Although coal and petroleum have experienced a slight uptick, energy from nuclear and others have witnessed a sharp surge.

According to the given illustration, with just 1% and below increment, gas, and coal have increased steadily to 30.31% and 30.93% respectively during the given time length. However, followed by a contrasting trend, nuclear energy, and power from other resources have experienced a dramatic upswing. The former soared up by nearly 3.70% to reach 10.10% in 2005 and with over 4.20% increase, the latter rose to 9.10% by the end of the period.

On the other hand, energy production from petrol has plummeted down by nearly 10%. In 1995, about 29.27% of energy from petroleum was generated, which slipped down to just 19.55% after a decade.
