The given pie charts compares, producing electricity by the five sources such as, coal, petroleum, natural gas, nuclear and hydro power in two countries namely, New zealand and Germany over the years of 1980 and 2010.
Overall, it has been clear that, Germany producing more electricity than New zealand over the period given. At once, In 2010, the total production of electrical power has doubled than 1980 in Germany.
In 1980, the sum of New zealand electrical power was 127 units, which is increased to 200 units by 2010. The main source of electricity was coal in New zealand in 1980 ( 56 units) which is dramatically surged to 150 units after 20 years. However, natural gas and petroleum consist of 30% in 1980 which plummet to mere 2% in the year of 2010. Moreover, hydro electrical power accounts for 30units and 46 units in 1980 and 2010 respectively.
In Germany, the total electricity generated by given sources were 107 units(1980) and 214 units (2010). The significant growth of electrical power by nuclear energy during the period given. Such as, in 1980 only 20% of current supplied by nuclear which is rapidly increased to 155 units by 2010 among the other sources. Likewise, hydro and nuclear gas were noticeable reduction electricity from 7units and 28 units to mere 2units at the end of the period. Furthermore, coal consist of relatively stable ratio with 28% in both year and petroleum makes up 22% to 27 % by 2010.
