The pie chart represent the houses which were owned and rented in 1991 and 2007 in the UK outlining that the number of houses increased in 2007 by 5 million from 1991.

The home owner section consists a significant area in 2007 which is nearer to 75% of the total pie chart; however in 1991 it embodied a little more than half of the pie chart . This is cause behind the drop of social housing and renting in 2007. Where as the ratio of social housing and renting decreased in 2007 than 1991, the private housing kind of remained the same.

Along with the peoples' ability to buy home, the number of houses expanded in 2007. If this trend is continued, very soon. almost all the people in United Kingdom will have their own apartment. As a result the need for the social renting and housing will continue to decline, even though private may remain the same.
